History Walks in Canterbury

Qualified teacher and tourist guide available to present the fascinating history of Canterbury to primary school groups, meeting the Medieval History content of the new KS2 curriculum.  Choose "Walk the Wall", " To be a Pilgrim", "Be a Benedictine" or another themed walk to meet your own specific needs or existing worksheets.

Experienced in leading school groups at Kent's Horton Kirby Environmental Education Centre, I am particularly keen on active participation of pupils in activities as well as linking what we can see with stories of the past.

As a qualified science and outdoor education teacher (LOTC) I also offer exciting science based activities such as "Science on the Beach" (Herne Bay Festival 2012, 2013) or nature/river/coastal  environmental studies.

Please do contact me for discussion of your requirements.

"Dear Mrs Emery, We had a great time on Friday because you didn't fuss and you explained everything that we didn't get."  Aaron, Y4 South Borough Primary, 2013.
